Dr. Jillian Angelo Caccamo is a board certified general surgeon who is fellowship trained in minimally invasive surgery. She obtained her Medical Doctorate degree from Temple University School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she was awarded as Physician of the Year (The Committee of Interns & Residents and the Union of American Physicians) and Outstanding Minimally Invasive Resident Award (Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons).

She completed an esteemed fellowship in Advanced Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery with Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She is trained in advanced laparoscopy, endoscopy, and robotic surgery. She has published multiple peer-reviewed papers and has presented state of the art research at national meetings including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Dr. Angelo Caccamo performs a broad range of hernia surgery procedures to bring you a technically sound repair to minimize the risk of hernia recurrence with the quickest return to physical activity possible.

  • Robotic transabdominal preperitoneal repair (rTAPP)
  • Laparoscopic ventral (including incisional) hernia repair

  • Open repair of inguinal and abdominal wall hernias

She also performs a broad range of bariatric and general surgery procedures for the stomach (including anti-reflux procedures), as well as the gallbladder, small intestine, and appendix, employing both laparoscopic and robotic techniques to bring her patients optimal clinical outcomes with the quickest recovery. In her spare time, Dr. Angelo enjoys painting, exercising, and enjoying the natural beauty of Southern California with her family.
